Who Did You Encourage Today?

Good Work

In the midst of so much negativity that surrounds us today a word of encouragement can certainly come like a breath of fresh air. Did someone encourage you today? Did YOU encourage someone?

Someone made this interesting comment:
A word of encouragement during a failure is worth more than an hour of praise after success (Unknown).

How easy it is to praise others when they achieve something significant right? But how often do we offer encouragement when they don't quite make their goals?

Let's stop and note here that when you offer encouragement to someone who is facing a failure it does not mean you feel sorry for them and so you say something like: I am sorry, perhaps next time you will make it.

The word "perhaps" would NEVER be a part of any word of encouragement!

No, a real encouraging word would be something like this:
You CAN do it. Today you are better than you were yesterday, tomorrow you will be better than you are today. So keep progressing and you WILL win!

Did you know that Thomas Edison was considered a "backward child" at school? How ridiculous is that no? It was his mother who took it upon herself to take him out of school and educate him herself.

Thomas Edison was forever grateful for his mother's encouragement in his time of so called failure. He later recognized just how important his mother's encouragement and belief in was in his development.

You just never know what impact you may have on the whole world by encouraging just one person!
